The Eiderdown Duvet
Luxurious Eiderdown duvets forever Nordic kings have indulged in the unparalleled lightness and exclusivity of royal eiderdown duvets. Each duvet's cover is a masterpiece, crafted from pure damask silk—an exquisite embrace for the world's most coveted down. This precious eiderdown is ethically collected under strict control in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. These luxurious duvets are then meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in Denmark, continuing a millennium-old tradition of regal comfort.
The exquisite eiderdown duvet, extremely rare and highly sought after by connoisseurs who demand only the very best, is considered the softest and lightest duvet in the world.
Many superlatives are used to describe it, and the extraordinary result of this duvet is due to three essential elements: its filling, its cover, and the meticulous handcrafted workmanship.
The filling is obtained from processing eider duck down. Considered the "king" of waterfowl for its rarity and the unique properties of its brown-and-white speckled feathers.
In 1651, Christian IV of Denmark established artificial colonies in northern Norway to secure this precious down for personal use and for his court.
In June, the Faroe Islands and Iceland become the preferred nesting sites of the eider duck. During the brooding period, the female plucks down from her chest to line the nest and protect her chick from the cold. Once the ducklings are able to fly, the nests are abandoned. It is only after this natural migration that local experts begin the patient and careful collection of the valuable down, under strict government supervision. Only 5 to 10 grams of down are collected per nest. This makes the eiderdown duvet a rare jewel, destined to last for generations.
Two sizes are currently available by special order, with a waiting time of 3 to 5 weeks to receive this precious masterpiece with the option to have it made to measure.

Filling Power
- Filling Power 26 Scale EN 12130 / A is the European measurement standard for 30g thermal efficiency. The possible values vary from 4cm to 26cm of the Eider. Beyond 22cm you risk running into live pluck, an unethical and illegal practice in DK.
- Filling height 26 cm and mass volume 1032 in³ / 30 g. EN12130 / A
- TOG 14,0 This is a measurement system of Anglo-Saxon countries and refers exclusively to the degree of heat. For example, a duvet with 20kg of chicken feathers has the same TOG of 550g of a fine duvet.
Precious unique filling
The filling consists only of soft and full-bodied eiderdown from the wild eider ducks.
Soft and light, they are hand-picked from abandoned eider nests in the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
They are particularly elastic and resistant, thanks to the harsh climate of the islands, which allows the development of the natural properties of hygroscopicity, insulation, lightness, and volume, necessary to ensure healthy body transpiration and comfortable rest, thus allowing us to create hypoallergenic and antirheumatic duvets with very fine artisan workmanship.

The Shell Fabric
The upholstery fabric is 100% natural ivory silk with a jacquard weave. In this way, the down clusters cannot get out and mites and dust cannot penetrate.
This allows the filling to absorb air and create the right thermal insulation, and allow the body to breathe healthily.

Structure
The structure is characterized by a square configuration, with internal baffles, necessary to maintain a continuity of the surface of the duvet, to promote insulation and constant homogeneous warmth.
