We can still proudly say today that the best anti-feather fabric can only be produced in Europe - and the finest still comes from the old weaving houses in Germany. Year after year, anti-feather fabric from India and China is found on the market, but it is still somewhat stiff, noisy, and less pleasant to sleep on.
We can divide a good European anti-feather fabric into three different types
Twill
It is primarily used for duvets and pillows, which contain some small feathers and are woven with regular threads of thicker size, approximately Ne* 40/40
Cambric
The oldest fabric for anti-feather textiles. It can be used with feather stuffing (even with some small feathers). Typically woven with a medium thread count.
Batista
Very fine fabric made of linen. Mainly used for weaving handkerchiefs and underwear
