Sateen is a smooth and soft fabric, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to your bedroom. Contrary to what one might think, sateen is not a fiber but a textile structure—a particular weaving of warp and weft threads. For its high-quality sateen sheets, Piumini Danesi uses extra-long cotton fibers (called long-staple fibers) spun into fine, durable 50/1 threads, with a single 60x60 thread per square centimeter in both the warp and weft. The result is a silky, delicate, and long-lasting fabric.

How to wash sateen sheets Wash both white and colored satin fabric at 40°C. Wash bedding inside out to extend its lifespan. Instead of fabric softener, you can use white vinegar—an excellent natural and eco-friendly alternative. It enhances colors and makes sheets softer. A tumble dryer can be used on a delicate cycle, but air drying is preferable, respecting both tradition and the environment. If using eco-friendly detergents, follow the recommended doses.
